In the morning, fly from Yangon to Dawei by domestic flight. Upon arrival in Dawei you will be welcomed by our representative and proceed for your hotel check in. After refreshments we will start our sightseeing in the the capital of Thanitaryi division Dawei, known as Tavoy in colonial time. The town was one of the first cities settled by the English after the first of the three Anglo-Burmese wars, as result the towns have long history and interesting architecture building of colonial era. Together with guide we will explore downtown are with beautiful colonial building area. We will stroll through the main busy market of Dawei where local people busy with daily business process; after that we will visit to Shwe Taung Sar Pagoda and Paya Gyi museum to see collections of bronze coins, vase’s, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images are displayed. We will enjoy the sunset from the top of the mountain Sapar Taung.
Together with guide we will visit the bustling riverside market in the morning. After that we will make our trip about 40mins to Maungmagan beach pass through rural small villages. On the way we can make a short stop to visit primary school of the village and rest of the day will be at free leisure at the hotel or visit to the local area of many small restaurants located at the bayside.
Transfer from Maungmagan Beach to Dawei airport for your flight to Myeik in the morning. On arrival in Myeik airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and proceed for hotel check in, after refreshments we will start our sightseeing in Myeik together with guide. Visit to Royal Pearl workshop which is 150 year-family-owned place we will have chance to learn about the local pearl industry. Continuously, we will visit Theindawgyi Street with old monasteries where local people used to meditate and in the evening we will enjoy the panoramic view and breathtaking sunset over the islands from Phayargyi Pagoda.
Today exploration will start with the biggest fish market in the area hosting the major economic of Myeik. After that we will proceed to riverside wharf where many wooden fishing boats are lying on muddy riverbank, we will be onboard on a private small wooden boat to visit Pahtaw Phatet Islands with big reclining Buddha and local crab farm working place. Continuously we will visit to the ship dockyard area where you will see local style wooden fishing boats maintaining or building all by human workforce. We will head back to Myeik and rest of the evening will be at you free time at leisure; possible to take a leisure walk by the river side road enjoy evening’s play of the sun colors the waterfront beautiful shades of dusk!
Transfer to airport for domestic flight to Kawthaung. Upon arrival to the Kawthaung airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and proceed to your hotel for check in. Kawthaung is the busy border town with charming atmosphere; it is also major gate way for safari trips to hundreds of pristine islands in Mergui Archipelago. Today sightseeing will be to bustling market located at waterfront-lined with teashops, the strand road area. Then we will make our visit to the famous pagoda of the town PYI TAW AYE on the top of the hill overview the town and near islands in Andaman Sea. We can also take a look to the iconic statue of King Bayinnaung brandishing a sword, stands at the crest of a hill on the cape at Victoria point. In the evening we will drive up to the hill locally known as 555 mountain to enjoy spectacular sunset.
Free time at leisure until transfer to airport for onward departure flight / boat from Kawthaung.
